Xbox 360 & PS3 - Frontier Developments
The Outsider is set in a crowded city based on present-day Washington, D.C. and its surrounding areas, including the CIA Headquarters in Langley, Virginia, Joint Base Andrews, and Newport News Shipbuilding. The player controls a CIA intelligence officer by the name of Jameson, who can use various hand-to-hand combat styles and weapons. The game's opening sequence depicts the character wrongly becoming a fugitive, and leaves the player to decide how to continue.
This project was a title for the Xbox 360 and PS3, I worked on it from concept to alpha. I spent a year and a half on the project until it was finally cancelled due to issues with the publisher.
As a level designer on The Outsider I was responsible for 5 levels, of which these included the tutorial/intro level and one of the finales. This involved paper layouts, whitebox, initial art pass, scripting, markup, bug fixing and balancing.
I also designed the different forms of mines the player has access to and balancing of weapons, armour and NPC's.
